I don't know if the results on The vahalla forum are correct. JL Mayo beat #2 ranked Najera from lincoln 10-7 in finals. Sawyer was 7-0 in cadet and jr. 130 but I pulled him from tourney due to feeling sick and the craps. Osuna made us nervous a couple time but pinned all. Lil carmona won 105 cadet and Jr. Big carmona wrestled up at 160 and lost to Graff Steel canyon in finals. Johnny Sandoval lost to Daniel Romero and almost beat Div 2 CIf champ Steve Martinez but lost in OT. Mitchell Maya wrestled like an animal and Won 145 and 152. Evryone that participated in the summer program did well. Some that took the summer off. Need to keep working.

Sounds like the kids got in some good mat time. Remind them that the grading period ends this Friday. All it takes is that blown test or not turning in an important assignment to mess things up. No grades = No wrestle. It's just the teacher in me that is always concerned about this stuff.
Everyone who wrestled this weekend did an outstanding job. I am pleased with the results being our first time out this year, however we still have alot of work to do. Don't be satisfied with this weekend and continue to work hard.
We will be at the tournament this weekend. Joshua is wellcome to come. Or to follow us up.
For the record this is not an attempt to recruit SW coaches. Just supporting a wrestler that I would like to see do well. We have about 4 kids that are pretty good around this weight.
